Privacy policy
Worth It? works without an account. Everything you enter stays on your device: calculations, history, your decision journal, subscriptions, wishlist, goals and settings. Unless you sign in (see Account and sync below), none of it is sent to a server.
Ads. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and in US states that require it, you are asked for consent before ads use personal data. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy choices. AdMob may collect device identifiers and information about ad interactions. See Google's privacy policy for details.
Notifications. Renewal, free trial and yearly charge alerts, decision reviews and monthly summaries are worked out and scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us. You can turn each kind off in Settings > Notifications.
Updates. The app asks Google Play or the App Store whether a newer version is available. Only the app's own name and version are involved; nothing you entered is sent.
Label scanning. When you scan a price label, the photo is read on your device by Google ML Kit and then deleted. It is never uploaded. ML Kit may send Google anonymous technical data about how the feature performs.
Usage data. If you allow it, the app records anonymous events such as which tool was opened. These events never contain the numbers or text you enter. You can turn this off in Settings.
Deleting data. Settings > Delete all data removes everything the app stored on your device. Uninstalling the app also removes it.
Backups. Android may back up app data to your Google account, as it does for other apps, so it can be restored on a new device.
Children. The app is not designed for children.
Account and sync (optional). If you sign in, your data (calculations, subscriptions, decision journal, wishlist, goals and settings) is stored with Google Firebase so it can sync across your phones. Your name and email address are used only to sign you in. Only you can read your data. Settings > Account > Delete account removes your account and its cloud copy.
